At Future Logistics & CDL Training we offer Class A automatic training with a flexible part time schedule. We offer either a 60 hour course (estimated duration of 4-5 weeks) or the standard 160 hour course (estimated duration of 10 weeks), both of which include all mandated ELDT material. We will also help you to get your learner's permit if you dont already have it as well as your DOT phyical for your federal medical card.
Once you have your permit you will trained how to perform the full PreTrip Inspection, your three styles of backing (straight/offset/90 degree) and finally you will drive both city streets and the freeway learning how to properly and safely maneuver through traffic with merging, lane changes, left and right turns, and to always be conscious of your surroundings including the signs along the roads that will become vital to your travels as truck driver and to making your deliveries on time. This includes noticing bridge clearences, weight limits and roads or bridges marked "no large trucks" to make sure you always take the safest route to your destination and don't get delayed by time consuming detours or back tracking.
All of these lessons will be discussed in the classroom and then in the field so students know the basics of what they are expected to do before they attempt to perform it in the field. This reduces the amount of information they'll have to take in while performing tasks in real time which also reduces stress and improves safety.
We offer 3rd party examination for Class A (automatic or manual) and Class B (vehicle must be provided by the test taker).
